I have puffiness under my eyes and somewhat loose skin above. I have reasearched eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), but the examples they show are not giving me that good of an idea what to expect. I am only 35, and many if not most of the pictures are of 60+ year olds. Also, I want to go to a good surgeon who will offer reasonable prices. Does anybody have experience with this? What is your recommendation?
Answers:
The first thing to do when considering cosmetic surgery is to find a qualified, experienced plastic surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery. he will have pictures of his previous patients and those pictures can give you an idea of what he can do for you. if you don't feel confident that he can do a good job, find another surgeon. some plastic surgeons prefer not to post their patient's pictures on their website since they want to preserve their patient's privacy. you may get them to send you some pictures by email though. if you are on a budget, you may also consider medical travel to other countries, but always check on the credentials of the surgeon and make sure he is board certified in plastic surgery. in asia, plastic surgeons often do blepharoplasty on younger patients who want to have double eyelids.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason most of the pics are of older people is because loose eyelids is a complication of cataract surgery. i know this cuz my mom had both surgeries. her insurance paid for it because it wasn't considered cosmetic but medical because it was interfering with her vision. i know she always looked tired but after the procedure she looked 100% better.

India is the leading provider of healthcare to foreign nationals; be they from neighboring countries, lacking in facilities and standards, or from the West, circumventing waiting times, high cost private healthcare or private health insurance premiums. The Indian medical industry is now poised to move into a new area of "medical outsourcing," where it serves as an extension to provide services to the overburdened medical care systems in western countries.
There are numerous foreigners that are flying to India and desperate to do so. It is not to see the backwaters of Kerala or the beautiful beaches of Goa but to get much cheaper surgery in Indian Metros. It’s not just the cost that you should consider. You should look into the surgeons and the anesthetist’s credentials as well.
Important Points to Ask about the Surgeon and The Anesthetist who would be operating you-
What professional memberships, training and qualifications do they hold?
Have the surgeon and anesthetist worked together before?
Will the anesthetist perform a pre operative evaluation?
And a postoperative evaluation?
How much recovery time will the procedure entail?
How long will you be hospitalized?
How soon after the operation you can fly home?
Ask to see credentials and ‘before and after’ pictures.

Pills, Excersice,Plastic Surgery or a breast lift? What do you think of breast lift?
hi after i had my daurghter i boobs sag. I need help! they were so prky and firm now there just like pancakes. Im really turning towards plastic surgery of a breast lift. Does any1 knw where i can get done breast lift surgery cheap n good quality?
Answers:
You will probably have to go with surgery because the pills are all gimmicks and exercise strengthens the pectoral muscles under the breast, but does nothing for the breast tissue itself. If you are considering having more children; I would wait on breast surgery as you will have the same problem again and if you breastfeed, it is almost impossible to do as surgery cuts through your milk ducts and reroutes everything.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many patients travel from UK, Ireland, and Scotland to get low cost Breast Lift Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Breast Lift Surgery is the price of surgery in India.
But you should consider some other factors as well such as-
a) Check whether after the Breast Lift Surgery you will stay in the hospital or be discharged and taken to a hotel; ask about special care or assistance after the Breast Lift Surgery and about contingency plans in case of complications during the procedure or recovery time.
b) Do they recommend having a close friend or family member travel with you to provide support for Breast Lift Surgery In India.
c) Find out when the India’s high season is so that you can avoid exorbitant flight prices and enjoy more moderate weather.
d) Read up on local costs, the price of meals, transport and hotels, how easy is it to travel around and whether it is considered safe to do so.
The reasons for choosing to travel abroad for Breast Lift Surgery are different for everyone but with lengthy NHS waits and concerns about MRSA advantage of affordable, high quality private healthcare in India, and combining it with a tropical, cultural or relaxing holiday saving thousands of pounds compared with having the treatment done privately in the UK.

Surgery is your only options. If pills were available, don't you think every women would take them?I think if a breast lift would make you feel better about your body, and you are well educated about the risks involved, and you find a good board certified surgeon that you are comfortable with, then GO FOR IT!
Good Luck!

Question on Buttock (gluteal) implants?
Does anybody know how much do buttock implants cost? And is it safe to get? Also how long do they last? can you take fat from one part of your body and have it injected into another area? Any additional info will be apreciated :-)
Answers:
The cost of surgery varies from place to place .If Surgery makes you feel better about yourself and you are absolutely sure you want surgery, then go for it!I had surgery about 5 years ago and haven't regretted it once! What I would say to you is go to your doctor and get him/her to recommend a surgeon. Good Luck:-)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Butt implants are solid silicone implants that can be inserted either under the gluteus muscles or under the skin and fascia (muscle sheath) to create a rounded, more prominent butt. They are generally placed in the top half of each buttock, so that you do not sit directly on them. Silicone butt implants are solid. They cannot leak or rupture like breast implants, which are silicone sacks filled with either saline or silicone gel. The implants come in several shapes and sizes and can also be custom-made.
Although butt implants, unlike silicone breast implants, cannot rupture, they can move out of place due to scarring or trauma. If an implant is displaced, your butt is going to look asymmetrical until the problem is corrected, which is done surgically.
Most butt implants are inserted through a short incision in the crease between your buttocks. Both implants can be inserted through the same incision. Because of the proximity of the incision to the anus, infection is a serious concern. Other sites for the incisions are in the crease under each buttock (the gluteal crease) or, rarely, above the buttock. Scars after butt implants will be visible with either of these incisions, although scars should be hidden in the gluteal crease after healing.
Some cosmetic surgeons prefer to use butt implants only on people who do not have enough body fat for butt enhancement with fat injections or so called Brazilian Butt Lift .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buttock Implant Surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her Butt Implant surgery in India by the company called Tour2India4Health Consultants. The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2India4Health is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

I have never had any type of cosmetic surgery, but I would think that they could. They do take fat from people and put it somewhere else. I have also read about butt implants. It is kind of like breast implants, except it is shaped differently of course. I believe the implants are made out of the same material too. You should see if you can schedule an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon to see what your options are. I am sure they would be glad to talk to you about it and help you understand what procedures are available. Good luck! :)

Gynecomastia Surgery ?
It would be great if anyone can give me the information about the hospital in India that offer Gynecomastia Surgery .Plz also let me know the total cost of the surgery (medicine, drugs, etc)?
Answers:
The cost of gynecomastia surgery varies significantly between surgeons, medical facilities, and regions of the country. Patients who need additional or more extensive surgery will require more intensive and expensive treatment. In non-private Surgery Centers or in-office Operating Rooms the prices may include the following. However, in hospitals, surgery charges can usually be separated into five parts: the surgeon's feethe anesthesiologist's fee (if applicable)the hospital charges, which includes nursing care and the operating roomthe medications (antibiotics, topicals, dressings)and any additional charges. All fees are averages; out-patient charges, including surgeon fees, anesthesia, Operating Room charges, unless otherwise noted. Lab fees, such as routine blood work (CBC), are normally an extra $35. - $75. Plus medications are usually an additional $120. If you are to be staying in a hospital or are opting for home healthcare, these expenses are additional.Average Price: $3,000. - $5,000. for an average procedure

Sorry I don’t know in India but in North America its about $ 5000 including the course of hospital and surgery. This price is estimated off of a average sized male.
There are many companies out there who will offer financing for your procedure although not many are plastic surgery or surgical-specific. I recommend companies that do deal in plastic surgery-only financing as they are more aware of the time you need to recover and seem to have more empathy for the patient and not only their pocket book. Just be sure to read the fine print in regards to what you receive or what the particulars are before signing with a finance company.

How much do Dental Porcelain veneers cost. And are they bright white?
Answers:
The cost of a porcelain veneer is per tooth and depending on where you live in the U.S., will range between approximately $600 - $1500... also, insurance will not pay anything on this procedure as it is considered cosmetic. As for the shade, you and your dentist will decide on the shade together using a shade guide... you choose a bright white shade although I would not suggest it because it is not natural at all and it will look like a white picket fence in your mouth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The good ones cost around $1300 per tooth. You can get them as white as you want

She is all praise for IndianHealthGuru Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her.
Hope this helps

Porcelain veneers are custom made by a dental laboratory. They can be made in almost any shade from bright white to dark yellow. Price do vary quite a bit from Dr. to Dr. and state to state.

Has anyone here ever had a tubal reversal?
I have spoken to a doctor about having a tubal reversal surgery, I had a ring put on my tubes like 5 years ago? has anyone else had this procedure? What will be the cost approx?
Answers:
I had a tubal reversal April 6 2005....after having them tied for 9 yrs..The Dr said everything went great now i am just waiting to get pregnant....i was on clomid for a little while but now I am just lettin things take it's course....I am hoping soon that i get pregnant...The procedure cost about 8,000. I am hoping the best for you and your better half...
------------------------------------------------------------------
Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost Tubal Reversal Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering the cost of Tubal Reversal Surgery is “how much?” and “what is the cost of surgery in India?”Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeons on the basis of cost.
The cost of Tubal Reversal Surgery -is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Tubal Reversal Surgery in India. I checked out the website of IndianMedGuru–which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 300 International patients from across the globe (especially US, Canada, Australia and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions..

To avoid unsatisfactory results, it is best to choose a surgeon who has completed an accredited residency-training program in Tubal Reversal Surgery . He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when a company like IndianMedGuru comes into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.
Your surgeon’s skill can make all the difference between a good and an average result. Thus, although it is understandable that cost is one of the considerations in your choice of surgeon, it is important to remember that the main consideration should be your surgeon’s professional qualifications and experience.
Besides that you should look into other issues related to traveling abroad, which is your visa, passport, climate, cultural issues and language barrier. Although language is not a problem in India –as most of the people are well verses in English. But you should make sure that you have a reliable hand holding person to guide you through the various steps of getting medical treatment and surgery in India.

I' ve never had the procedure but I've heard of people who have and I dont think you have anything to worry about.

Gastric Bypass Surgery???
Has anyone ever had this surgery or know someone who has had it done for weight loss and how has it affected your life. Thanks
Answer:
I had gastric bypass surgery 11 years ago (1996). I weighed well over 300 lbs and lost over 165 lbs in 9 months. I got so small that i was reallllly concerned, but my dr. assured me that i would regain some weight and get back to my normal set point...and i did. today I am a size 8 - very acceptable for a female....( i was below a size 4 at one point and my largest was a size 23).How has it changed my life? alot....just think of what people say when a large person walks by...they usually have some type of nasty remarks, and at work it is also no fun...but since I lost all my weight, i am not critized when i walk down the street, and work is great!I walk 7 mile every day...and NO i did not have to have any additional surgeries for hanging skin etc...My skin bounced right back and i look like i was never overweight (my dr. says i am very lucky with this).Would i do it again? YES - in a heart beat...you know why? cause i did it for me and my health! and damn it, I feel great today! A lot of people i knew ten years ago, still do not recognize me....it is nice!Thanks---good luck
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The guidelines are strict...and your doctor will likely ask you to lose a set amount of weight and many hours of psychological counseling before the surgery to show that you are capable of making the lifestyle change. Your insurance company is also likely to require it.Ask your doctor about the prescription drug Meridia (an appetite suppressant). It's a good way to tell if you are ready to make the change. Gastric bypass surgery is a diet, like any other. If you are still set on it, I recommend the Lap-Band system. It is less invasive, completely reversible, and adjustable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Weight loss surgery-like Gastric Bypass Surgery have become very common and very safe now. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgeries are not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her Obesity surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Forerunners Healthcare Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her.
Hope this helps

I recommend you to get a good face and neck lift. As far as recommending a doctor You didn't state where you live so we could possibly recommend a doctor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You should shop around for board certified surgeons, and also do your research on these procedures. It is very important for you to fully understand what these procedures entail and what to expect. By doing research on these procedures you will also know the proper questions to ask the surgeon.

How much does a full tummy tuck (abdominalplasty) cost?
Answers :
The average tummy tuck performed by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will cost between $5,000 and $10,000. The price ranges due to the variations in patients and surgical techniques involved. To simplify, some people merely have a protuberant belly and require what plastic surgeons call a mini-abdominoplast. Other patients require extensive work, like those patients who have undergone gastric bypass surgery and now have excessive loose skin. Others still may have moderate to severe abdominal muscle laxity and when the surgery involves the muscles, the price will increase.
--------------------------------------------
I bet it cost a ton.

Many patients travel from UK, Ireland, and Scotland to get low cost Tummy Tuck Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Tummy Tuck Surgery is the price of surgery in India.
But you should consider some other factors as well such as
-a) Check whether after the Tummy Tuck Surgery you will stay in the hospital or be discharged and taken to a hotel; ask about special care or assistance after the Tummy Tuck Surgery and about contingency plans in case of complications during the procedure or recovery time.
b) Do they recommend having a close friend or family member travel with you to provide support for Tummy Tuck Surgery In India.
c) Find out when the India’s high season is so that you can avoid exorbitant flight prices and enjoy more moderate weather.
d) Read up on local costs, the price of meals, transport and hotels, how easy is it to travel around and whether it is considered safe to do so.
The reasons for choosing to travel abroad for Tummy Tuck Surgery are different for everyone but with lengthy NHS waits and concerns about MRSA advantage of affordable, high quality private healthcare in India, and combining it with a tropical, cultural or relaxing holiday saving thousands of pounds compared with having the treatment done privately in the UK.
I checked out the website of Tour2India4Health –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering Tummy Tuck Surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 400 International patients from across the globe (especially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. I think this could be of help for you as well.

Mine cost about 5,900 dollars. This was 5 years ago after losing 90 pounds. It was an outpatient proceedure therefore a bit cheaper than staying in a hospital. This did not include preliminary doctors visits. I don't recall how much the visits were. Maybe 200 bucks total.

Have any of you had IVF treatment to conceive? If so can you recommend any sites with useful information??
My partner had a vasectomy about 10 years ago. He recently had an unsuccessful vasectomy reversal and the only option left to us is IVF. I'm only 21, I've never had a smear test or anything like that and I'm scared witless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answers:
I to am 21 and am going thru fertility issues. My husabnd has low sperm count and i am not ovulating. He currently takes loads of vits and i am trying clomid. I guess if things dont improve we will try IUI or ICSI.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.
My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Indianmedguru in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS. She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

How can you get rid of Varicose Veins?
I'm moderately young- 20, and I realized I have what looks like is varicose veins on my right leg. How do I get rid of this?
Answers :
To prevent them, you must have proper circulation going through your legs which means you should elevate them often (you get those veins form standing a lot), but to get rid of them, the only way that’s known is probably cosmetic surgery
---------------------------------------------------------
Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost varicose veins Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering the cost of varicose veins Surgery is “how much?” and “what is the cost of surgery in India?”
Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeons on the basis of cost.
The cost of Varicose veins surgery-is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Varicose veins surgery in India. I checked out the website of Tour2india4health–which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 300 International patients from across the globe (especially US, Canada, Australia and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. And the general price of the Varicose veins surgery is India is almost a quarter of the cost in USA.
Source- http://www.tour2india4health.com
In India, any licensed General Surgeon can perform Varicose veins surgery. To avoid unsatisfactory results, it is best to choose a surgeon who has completed an accredited residency-training program in Varicose veins surgery. He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when a company like Tour2india4health comes into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Contact your doctor first. this way, you will know what alternatives are available medically and if they are covered by your insurance.

Breast Reduction (looking for answers from those who know!)?
Currently, I am twenty-one years old (almost 22) and am considering scheduling an appointment to meet with my physician.I wonder if I'd be a candidate for breast reduction? I have back pain, my shoulders hurt (from the bra strap) and there are even indentations in my shoulders from the straps. What are you thoughts on such a procedure? Have you had it done? Do you know anyone? What your afterthoughts???
Answers:
I know you want answers from experience but my aunt and my sister in law both had theirs reduced. They couldn’t be happier. You have to ask your doctor what he/she thinks because they are the ones who make that call on if you should have the surgery done or not. My aunt went from and F cup to a DD and my sister in law a DD to a C and both of them have less back pain and no more shoulder strap marks. Hope this Helps!

I myself had the surgery 3 years ago. I had the same problems. The sores from the bra strap, the indentions on my shoulders and the back pain. I had to sleep sitting up or on my side. Laying flat was never an option. Beside the vain part of summer’s been horrible, from never being able to wear the cute bathing suits or the two pieces i had a hard time finding shirts that kept me cool. i am very happy i got the surgery, my self confidence got a great boost as well. And I went out and bought my first 2 pieces swimming suit when i healed. The healing time takes awhile. You have to wear a surgical bra for about a month and then you can only wear sports bras or bras without under wire. But trust me it is sooo worth it.
--------------------------------------------------
One of my best friends had the procedure done a few months ago (she was 18 at the time) after trying to lose weight for a year. She, too, had back pain and couldn't be happier about the results. It also made her appear skinnier and I’ve noticed her confidence has boosted as well.I think you would definitely benefit from at least scheduling an appointment. Good luck!

What are the Chances of a Vasectomy Reversal at 45?
It's been 5 years. Male is 45 and in good health. Can afford a good surgeon.
Answers:
The reversal is just that...completely reversable. If you want ot have a child...get it reversed. The male sperm does not lessen in its potency, as does a females fertility. For example, a 60 year old man, getting his wife, or other partner preggo. (For example, Michale Douglas....he continues to impregnant his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones over and over again)Best of luck to you!!

Girls with breast implants please answer?
Ok so I am thinking about getting a breast lift and implants, but i am so afraid of them feeling fake!!! Can anyone who has implants or who has felt soemones implants please tell me if they feel even close to a real breast, i just want to be as real as possible. Also I know that silicone implants are back on the market now- does anyone have siliocone? do they really feel a lot softer than saline- but if i get silicone is it safe to breast fee? if anyone has any personal experience please let me know thankyouuuuuuu .
Answers:
It all depends on the placement of the implants, size and material. It is not silicone that is used now, but silicone gel. Silicone gel is cohesive and form stable which means that if they ruptured, silicone won't migrate to other places as old implants did. They are strong and durable, natural to the touch, and have been used in Europe safely for over 25 years. As for the placement, it depends on your pectoral muscles. It can be:Subglandular- implant between the breast tissue and the pectoralis muscle. This position closely resembles the plane of normal breast tissue and is felt by many to achieve the most aesthetic results, but if your tissue is too thin it can show "ripples".Subpectoral ("dual plane") the implant is placed underneath the pectoralis major muscle after releasing the inferior muscular attachments. As a result, the implant is partially beneath the pectoralis in the upper pole, while the lower half of the implant is in the subglandular plane. This is the most common technique in North America and achieves maximal upper implant coverage while allowing expansion of the lower pole.Submuscular- the implant is placed below the pectoralis without release of the inferior origin of the muscle. Total muscular coverage may be achieved by releasing the lateral chest wall muscles (seratus and/or pectoralis minor) and sewn to the pectoralis major. This technique is most commonly used for maximal coverage of implants used in breast reconstruction. I have silicone gel implants, they feel and look completely natural since they don't encapsulate and am glad I got them.

I have gotten two boob jobs. The first one's were a C cup, and the second one's are a small D. My first one's I got capsular contracture and they were hard. My new one's are much softer. Make sure you get them below the muscle; they tend to look more natural. I have saline, although they say that silicone is okay nowadays, but I prefer saline. Like any surgery there is always risks, but I prefer my new boobs verses my natural 34 b's, no thank you. I didn't do it for anyone, I did it for myself. My first bf didn't want me to do it, because of risk factors, it's hard for doctors to detect breast cancer, and there is always a chance of a rupture.

Breast Implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Knee surgery?
I had my first knee surgery at 16 years old... I always noticed aches in that knee, even after the surgery, but now that, I really notice creaks and aches in the knee. Doctor says it's arthritis at this point. But don't limit your activities as long as you can help it. Just keep up with your exercises, and remember that adding weight can make the knee pain worse.
Answers:
It's frustrating for everyone. At two months, it's still normal to be experiencing significant pain and fatigue. Three months seems to be the magic turn around time in terms of resuming normal household activities of daily living and better pain control...yet full recovery will take a year. You are right, she should be off the walker by now...she may have spent a little too much time in home health...I like to see them in the outpatient setting by the 4th week. So, yes, she does seem to be coming a little slow, but do realize that significant pain and sleeplessness are still prevalent at this point.

The price of knee surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her of knee surgery in India through the Forerunnershealthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.

Weight loss Surgery in India
I am 30 years old and about to have my second child. I have reached my heaviest which is 300lbs> I know that after the baby some of the weight will come off but not 150lbs of it. I think two kids is all I want but my husband would like to have more. I have heard alot of stories both good and bad for weight loss survey so I am really unsure what I should do. I am diabetic and want to get healthy for my self and for my children. Which surgery is best? Truthfully I am scared; I heard your life will not be the same and that you will not be able to eat anything because you are always throwing up. Can anyone give me some insight?
Answers:
Try and take stairs all the time, at home, at work. Start with one and then progress. If you live/work on fourth floor, take one stair and then look for the elevator. DO it every time you have to go up or down. Try and walk as much as you can. Avoid parking car very close to where you are going. Once you start doing this continuously, your legs soon will develop, what we call 'muscle memory' and they will take you there without you thinking about it. All the obesity surgeries have there ups and downs. But, whatever may be the case, even after the surgery, if you do not stay active and watch what you eat and what you do, you can soon come back to square one! I mean, you can regain all that lost weight (and many times more) than before. So, why not give your motivation a try, which will be very good for you in long run and very advantageous/healthy for the whole family. You will be the roll model for your kids and husband as well. You may try and make a group, of walkers, joggers, in the neighborhood or at work. Works very well, as a group.
---------------------------------------
Many patients travel from UK, Ireland, and Scotland to get low cost weight loss surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering weight loss surgery is the price of surgery in India. But you should consider some other factors as well such as-
a) Check whether after the Weight loss surgery you will stay in the hospital or be discharged and taken to a hotel; ask about special care or assistance after the weight loss - surgery and about contingency plans in case of complications during the procedure or recovery time.
b) Do they recommend having a close friend or family member travel with you to provide support for weight loss Surgery in India?
c) Find out when the India’s high season is so that you can avoid exorbitant flight prices and enjoy more moderate weather.
d) Read up on local costs, the prices of meals, transport and hotels, how easy is it to travel around and whether it is considered safe to do so.
The reasons for choosing to travel abroad for weight loss urgery are different for everyone but with lengthy NHS waits and concerns about MRSA advantage of affordable, high quality private healthcare in India, and combining it with a tropical, cultural or relaxing holiday saving thousands of pounds compared with having the treatment done privately in the UK.
I checked out the website of forerunnershealthcare which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering weight loss surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 400 International patients from across the globe (especially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. I think this could be of help for you as well.

Hair Transplant Surgery?
Is growth immediate after you have it done?Is it ok to maintain a very short hair cut, will scars show? Will I have moderate hair loss?
Answers:
Great questions! I had hair transplant 18 months ago and could not be happier with the results. To answer your questions:1. After your transplant each hair will react differently. Some will continue to grow; some hair will fall out of the follicles and go into a resting stage. You can expect to see significant growth around 6 months, at 9months you will be extremely happy with the amount of growth you have had and you should see about 95% growth by 1 year.2. It is very important to choose your surgeon very carefully for this. Some doctors are much better at their scars and you should ask to see former patients’ pics of not only the transplant but of the scar. My doctor specialized in thin (1-2 mm) scars and she uses a technique that encourages the remaining hair in back to grow through the scar to help hide the scar.

Appendicitis Surgery ?
My daughter woke up at 4 am. She has been crying and complaining of stomach pain ever since. She has vomited 3 times. She is running a temp. of 99-100 degrees. She is a bit of an over-reactor to pain, but I figure that even an over-reacting child would get tired of crying after 11 1/2 hours. I really suspect appendicitis, but the only thing that makes me doubt it, is that she wants to sit in the shower. When I put her in there, she acts like she is fine. Does anyone out there have an opinion or experience with childhood appendicitis and how it presents itself in children? Or any information that could help explains my daughter’s ailment.
Answers:
Vomiting and low grade fever are consistent with appendicitis, the fact it has lasted so long is a reason for concern.Nursing dictionary states that: constant pain in right lower quadrant. Patients often keep knees bent to lower pain. Fever rises sharply if the appendix bursts because of infection, sudden relief from pain shortly after bursting followed by increased diffuse pain.Seeing a doctor is a good idea, or at least call an ER and see if you can get some advice.

Hip Surgery?
I am 15 years old and I fractured my left hip mountain biking about 4 months ago and I think I have an inguinal hernia now so does this mean I will need surgery? It hurts by my hip in the groin area and a little bit in my lower back/hip and especially hurts whenever I do something physical like run or anything like that. I am going to see a doctor soon but I was just wondering what’s going to have to be done?
Answers:
Hernias can only be repaired through surgery, I'm wondering why you think you have developed a hernia? Hernias do not always cause pain, and your hip fracture is more likely to be causing this pain than a hernia. Hip fractures are serious business; hopefully you will not suffer with arthritis when you get older, but oftentimes this.
---------------------------------
Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost Hip Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering the cost of Hip Surgery is “how much?” and “what is the cost of surgery in India?” Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeons on the basis of cost.
The cost of Hip Surgery-is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Hip Surgery in India. I checked out the website of fly2india4health –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 300 International patients from across the globe (especially US, Canada, Australia and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. And the general price of the Hip Surgery is India is almost a quarter of the cost in USA.
Source- http://www.fly2india4health.com/
In India, any licensed General Surgeon can perform Hip Surgery. To avoid unsatisfactory results, it is best to choose a surgeon who has completed an accredited residency-training program in Hip Surgery. He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when a company like fly2india4health comes into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.
More about Hip Surgery in India-

Lap band surgery for me?
Yes, I have tried hard for years but unless I can find another way to "lose my appetite", I think Lap Band is the only option left for me. My self-esteem is at an all time low. Has anyone had this and if so, how much does it cost and do you know of any financing through a general Loan Company rather than the doctor?

I did it. It's definitely a big decision and has to personally work with you and your lifestyle. It's not as invasive as gastric bypass and it's day surgery. Some people get it confused with gastric bypass and I wonder if some of the answers you have gotten from people are confusing it with such an extreme surgery. The cost is around $15,000 unless you have medical insurance that will cover it 100%. I wasn't that lucky but you can get financing. Your doctor’s office should be able to give you a list of companies that offer financing. However, it has almost been a year and I have lost 5 sizes (from a 20-12) in clothing. I was not an extreme case. People who are bigger lose a lot more weight faster. I just saw myself heading down a road of no return. I kept dieting and gaining it back plus more. It was a horrible cycle for 20 years. I wasn't an overweight person when I was younger. After I had kids, it kicked it into high gear. I recommend you attend a seminar to get better informed about Lap Band surgery. They will be able to answer all your questions.

Have you considered the option of going overseas for your treatment? In countries like India. You can get your treatment for much less than what you are quoted in the US.I got my lap band surgery in India some time back and saved almost 80% of what the doctors in the US quoted and that included my air tickets and all

Although language is not a problem in India –as most of the people are well verses in English. But you should make sure that you have a reliable hand holding person to guide you through the various steps of getting medical treatment and surgery in India.

Rhinoplasty surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health.The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less.

How painful is the dental implant procedure?
My teeth are moving into the gap. I have the choice of having a dental implant, or drilling two perfectly healthy teeth to make a bridge. I am slightly dental phobic and would not cope well with lots of pain during either procedure.
Answers:
There is less pain from a dental implant than pulling a tooth. If you were able to tolerate that, then the implant will be a breeze. I would certainly not sacrifice the other two teeth to do a bridge. On average, a bridge lasts between 10-20 years, where the implant would last over 30. In my office a complete implant procedure would actually only run a few hundred dollars more than a 3 unit bridge, so the cost isn't really a factor in the choice for most patients.

Its not just the cost that you should consider. You should look into the surgeons and the anesthetists credentials as well.
Important Points to Ask about the Surgeon and The Anesthetist who would be operating you-
What professional memberships, training and qualifications do they hold?
Have the surgeon and anesthetist worked together before?
Will the anesthetist perform a pre operative evaluation?
And a post operative evaluation?
How much recovery time will the procedure entail?
How long will you be hospitalized?
How soon after the operation you can fly home?
Ask to see credentials and ‘before and after’ pictures.
Check out the website of Indian Health Guru –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering Dental Implant surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 500 International patients from across the globe (specially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions.

------------------------------------------------------
There is very minimal pain after a dental implant surgery and no pain during the procedure either. In most cases, a patient can walk out of the office ready to go back to work. Absolutely go for implants rather than a bridge. Since you are dental phobic, you can be prescribed a valium or halcion to relax you during the procedure. Hip Replacement Surgery?
Hi - I am looking for opinions on total hip replacement. Did you have one? What was your experience? What do you think about ceramic... metal on metal and metal and plastic? Thanks.
Answers:
Yes, I had both my hips replaced.
I have described my experiences with this surgery in depth .The "gold standard" of a hip replacement has been metal/poly for many years. They work very well in less active (usually older) people. The problem with them can be that they wear fast in more active (and usually younger) people and may require early revision surgery. For this reasons other more durable materials have been devised for bearings. One of these materials is ceramic/ceramic. If I were getting my hips replaced today, I would definitely at least ask about ceramic. Another is highly cross-linked poly. There is a concern with metal/metal bearings and the issue of metal ions in the blood, especially in women of childbearing age. However they are very durable also.
----------------------------------
The price of hip surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
Fly2india4health is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. I don't think anyone still uses metal on metal nowadays. Metal on ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is most commonly being used now. THRs have better success rate than TKR but still, it is recommended for the older age group (60 up) unless there is no other remedy but to use the replacements in younger individuals. If you are less than 60, ask your orthopedic doctor for alternatives before undergoing THR.

Tummy Tuck?
Hi I was thinking about getting a tummy tuck. I am a 53-year-old women that desperately wants her body back to the way it use to look! Does anyone have any positive or negative information about a tuck? I have read that it is a long recovery time and it is extremely painful. Is it worth it? What are the long term negative affects?
Answers:
I had a tummy tuck and hysterectomy at the same time about five years ago. My GYN and PS tag teamed and did it "all" in one surgery. The best part of doing it together was I got to stay in the hospital for three nights covered by insurance due to the hysterectomy!! Not to mention saved a little on the anesthesia, etc.It was extremely painful but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was nothing like a c-section pain wise, at least not for me. I was up and about right after my c-section but with this I was not at all.
One of the things is not being able to stand up straight after a tummy tuck. They want you to stay hunched over for a week or more to not pull on your muscles/stitches and believe me you don't want to stand up straight. So my back was killing me. Not to mention you basically have had two major surgeries (if you do hysterectomy too).I just had a breast lift and implants (under the muscle) 7 months ago and that was a breeze compared to my tummy tuck. BUT remember I had a complete hysterectomy at the same time too -- so my "insides" were shoved and cut and moved around a lot.
How much of the pain was hysterectomy and how much of the pain was tummy tuck - I don't know. I do remember my GYN telling me since I did it both at the same time that "his part" was more invasive than if I had just had the hysterectomy by itself b/c it would not have been through the belly so to speak.Having the tummy tuck was the BEST decision I have ever made for myself (aside from getting married and having a child, lol). I have never been so thrilled and my tummy is still flat as it was the day I had the surgery. Just make sure you have help and a very good Plastic surgeon.I could go on and on about hints, etc. b/c it was such a positive experience - minus the pain -- but if you have any more questions, just ask.
Take care
---------------------------------------------------------
Many patients travel from UK, Ireland, and Scotland to get low cost Tummy tuck surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Tummy tuck surgery is the price of surgery in India. But you should consider some other factors as well such as-
a) Check whether after the Tummy tuck surgery you will stay in the hospital or be discharged and taken to a hotel; ask about special care or assistance after the Tummy tuck surgery and about contingency plans in case of complications during the procedure or recovery time.
b) Do they recommend having a close friend or family member travel with you to provide support for Tummy tuck Surgery In India.
c) Find out when the India’s high season is so that you can avoid exorbitant flight prices and enjoy more moderate weather.
d) Read up on local costs, the prices of meals, transport and hotels, how easy is it to travel around and whether it is considered safe to do so.The reasons for choosing to travel abroad for Tummy tuck surgery are different for everyone but with lengthy NHS waits and concerns about MRSA advantage of affordable, high quality private healthcare in India, and combining it with a tropical, cultural or relaxing holiday saving thousands of pounds compared with having the treatment done privately in the UK.

Knee Replacement Surgery?
My mom who is 77 yrs old is thinking about getting surgery?
My mom's knees are in bad shape due to not exercising and she has arthritis. So she was thinking about getting a knee replacement and she read about a surgery where there's only a small incision and the recovery time is faster and easier. Has anybody had that kind of knee replacement surgery and where?
Answers-
I know patients who are happy with the results of a knee replacement surgery, but they had to learn to walk again. It is my belief that the surgery could need to be repeated every 10 to 12 years.Knee replacement surgery should be considered only as a last option. I wouldn't go for it unless there were no other choice.
Your mother suffers from a chronic form of arthritis or osteoarthritis and should definitely consult an Orthopaedist who will order blood tests, joint scans and X-Rays to confirm his diagnosis.Lyme disease is a possibility. Ask the doctor to test your mother for the bacteria causing Lyme disease. Are there any other cases of arthritis or rheumatic diseases among your relatives? Chronic arthritis is usually prevalent in families where a defective gene is passed on by parents to their children.Adult onset rheumatoid arthritis usually develops during the late teens or early twenties, possibly as early as 16, and rapidly settles into a chronic, generalized, debilitating infection. There are a few hundred types of arthritis and rheumatic diseases. The good news is that science is progressing rapidly in its understanding of rheumatic diseases.
-----------------------------------------------------
My grandmother had it. It is painful but it is worth it in her opinion. She only had one done and said she wouldn't get the other one done, but then she said the pain in the knee was well worth the surgery. It is more advanced now, but the recovery time varies for each person. There is physical therapy involved though. You basically need to learn how to walk after the surgery.
-----------------------------------------------------
My aunt got her Total Knee Replacement Surgery in India. The price of knee joint replacement surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants.

VASECTOMY REVERSAL-does it work?
Does it really work ? Is there anyone out there that had a Vasectomy Reversal and worked for them ?
Answers-
In many cases a vasectomy can be reversed if it was done initially with a view to the possibility of a reversal.Back in the early days of vasectomies though, the technology was not as good as it has been in recent times so the older ones may not be easy to undo. Also, if the doctor removed too much cord during the vasectomy , it may not be possible to rejoin it without a lot of very delicate work. For anyone considering a vasectomy, I always recommend they consult witht he doctor in depth up front and make sure that everything possible will be done to ensure the possibility of reversal. For anyone not considering a vasectomy under the impression it is the wife's duty to get appropriate surgery to stop more children coming along, I say baloney! A vasectomy is minor surgery, often performed in a doctor's office or via day surgery. It leaves little or no noticable scar, requires only a local painkiller, typically means barely a day or two off work, and is reversable. On the female side it is much more serious surgery and not reversable. So guys, when the family is full, drop your pants, take th elittle cut and be happy you are going to be able to undo it later if you desire.
--------------------------------------------------
Yes it works, vasectomy revarsal,IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India. My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. THINKING ABOUT LASIK?
I'm worried about it though. I dont know if I could stand for my eye to be propped open like they have to do. Or I keep reading about the risk/benefits. Was just wandering if it would be worth it? and how is the surgery itself?and do u have to use drops for the rest of ur life from dry eye. reading some of the post it seems that way.

1) got it done last Friday (5 days ago). I am very happy with the results. I had dry eye to begin with and have been using restatis for 2 months. I actually feel better with the dry eye since the surgery. I still have to use drops a lot. My only problem is (I actually posted this) that I wake up with my eye lashes crusty and shut and have to put drops in before I can open them. It is probably because I am putting drops in right before I go to sleep. They gave valium right before the surgery.

2) I had my surgery nearly 2 years and one month ago. Let me give you a little background. I am the type of person who can not handle anyone touching my eyes but me, and even I can freak myself out sometimes. The very thought of having something hold my eye lids open was, and still is enough to send me into a spine tingling tizzy. But, I sucked it up and did it! If you want something bad enough, you can handle most anything. And, the ring isn't on for that long. It is uncomfortable, and, for me, my left eye lid hurt just a little bit because I have very small eyes...especially my left. But, I handled it knowing it would be over soon, taking deep breaths and nearly hugging the head off the stuffed bear they lent me during my procedure. Hehehe! As for the dry eye situation, it doesn't plague everyone post-op and, even if you are plagued with it for longer than expected, it doesn't mean you will be forever. I am still suffering from it. Mostly in the AM when I first wake up but, since a cold I had a couple weeks ago, after having to take a steriodal anti-biotic which dried the ever loving crud out of my entire body, I am still recuperating so, my eyes are struggling a little throughout the day. But, I am not worried that it will continue. I believe I will eventually get back to where I was before the medicine zapped me of my fluids.Anyway, if what is holding you back is the fear of the feeling of having your eyes forced to stay open, trust me when I say that if I can handle it, you can.As for the dry eye issue, one thing I can suggest is that you go see your regular eye doc and have him or her perform a Shirmers test. I think that is what it is called. Just ask him or her to do a proper test of moisture in your eyes. Make sure that you don't already suffer from dry eye. That can make it more likely that you will suffer from dry eye. Not to say that those who didn't have a dry eye issue pre-op never had a problem with it post-op but, it helps if your eyes are already healthy as far as moisture goes. And, my Lasik doc did not test my eyes for moisture pre-op so, I don't know if I was already prone to dry eye issues or not. Take care and keep in touch with your decision!

3)Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost Lasik Eye Surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Lasik Eye Surgery is "how much?" and “what is the cost of surgery in India?”Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeon on the basis of the cost. The cost of Lasik Eye Surgery is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Lasik Surgery in India.I checked out the website of Indian Health Guru –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 400 International patients from across the globe (specially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. And the general cost of the Lasik Eye Surgery is less than 1000$.
